Diamonds form under extreme temperatures and high pressure deep in the earth's surface. Diamonds, like graphite, are made completely of carbon. The carbon structures in each however are completely different. Once a rough diamond is found it must be cleaved, cut and polished before its true beauty may shine. A diamond's value changes greatly depending on the 4Cs (color, clarity, cut and carat) of a diamond. Learn more about the 4Cs of diamond quality by visiting our diamonds page.
