It's hard to mistake a genuine Peridot's unique yellowish green for any other gem. Some Peridot is ancient. It has been found in meteorites and even comets dating back to the birth of our solar system. This hasn't effected its price however. Peridot is available in every price range, with much of it being moderately affordable.
Peridot is usually sold in a facetted cut and has a hardness rating of 6.5 to 7 out of 10. Peridot's unique color, history, affordability and hardness rating make it an attractive option for any class ring.
