GIA Diamond color examples.

A diamond's color can range on a letter scale from D-Z. The scale measures the lack of faint-yellow in a diamond with "D" being colorless and the highest grade. Diamonds used in jewelry are typically "J" or higher. We specialize in D-F colorless diamonds but also sometimes offer G-I to fit a customer's specific needs.

The price of a diamond jumps at every color grade. The closer to grade D the rarer the diamond and higher the price. Very Light to Light catagories of diamonds (N-Z) are considered by quality jewelers to be unsatisfactory grades for jewelry. Many of the lower grades get puchased by online retailers and mall stores to be sold as "sale" diamonds.
